Last morning April 14th, 2015, IDJ International Financial Investment and Enterprise Development JSC (IDJ Financial) held the spring meeting with the investors of Grand Plaza Shopping Centre. In the meeting, there are 82 investors attending the discussion with the leaders of IDJ Financial in order to reach a consensus plan for leasing, paving the way for the opening back of Grand Plaza Shopping Centre.
Three years ago, Grand Plaza Shopping Centre was known as the most luxury mall in Hanoi with thousands of customers to come each week. Due to the weak economy, led to a slowdown of purchasing power, not only Grand Plaza Shopping Centre but also many other centers (such as Parkson Keangnam, Hang Da Galleria, Pico Mall …) fell into slump and had to close.
At the meeting, the leader of IDJ and the investors exchanged equally, objectively and candidly, pointed out the limitations and difficulties that have been encountered before. At the same time, investors also expressed their aspirations, hoped to have a representative working with customers in order to lease the commercial center.
An investor gave an opinion: “Why Grand Plaza is still closed until now? Because we were not unanimous. We need to unify a legal representative that has organization, capability of working with tenants. Thus, we expect this mall come back to reopen”
Another investor said: “I have worked many times with the new leader of IDJ Financial. They are willing to cooperate and have a clear orientation. I am willing to authorize IDJ Financial. And I also expect the investors to believe in the new leader of IDJ Financial so that they continue to work with the tenants.”
After the valuable feedback from the investors, the meeting agreed on the following contents:
Firstly: Approve the authority of IDJ Financial represents investors to work, negotiate and sign contracts with tenants.
Second: Approve IDJ Financial can be able to rent the entire area of the investors.
Also at the meeting, the leader of IDJ Financial and investors of Grand Plaza Mall have given the clear criteria for hiring include rental price, leasing term, fit out free time for tenant.
Thanks to the practical suggestions of the investors and the efforts of IDJ Financial leaders, the meeting ended successfully and brought positive signals for the return of the mall known as “shopping paradise” in Hanoi.
